San Ramon is host to many upcoming holiday events. Events like the “Bah HumBug 5k Run & Walk”, Bishop Ranch Tree Lighting and Forest Home Farms holiday festival are just a few of the fun activities coming up. Read on to learn more about what events the City of San Ramon has planned for December.
Bah Humbug! 5K Run & Walk, Dec. 2, Start at 9am
The Bah Humbug! 5K Run & Walk starts at the San Ramon Community Center the morning of Dec. 2. Registration is $45 for online and race day registration is available. Go to: Bah Humbug!
Runners are asked to bring a can of food to be donated to the Contra Costa County Food Bank. There is a costume contest, if interested.
Paint Night for Kids with Grownups
Dec. 2, from 6:30-8:30 is Paint Night. For more details, go to San Ramon Paint Night. Space is still available, but classes are filling up quickly. What a great way to spend time with children!
San Ramon Forest Hill Farms
The San Ramon Forest Home Farms has classic events organized for December. They are as follows:
December 2 – Holiday Wreath Making
Make your own hand-crafted wreath to decorate for the holidays. Savor the scent of fresh greenery we will gather and use from around the Farm.
December 9 – Holiday on the Farm
11:00am – 3:00pm
Enjoy an old fashioned holiday gathering at Forest Home Farm Historic Park. Have a traditional holiday family experience including visits with our Victorian Santa and his reindeer, old-fashioned ornament making, a puppet show, holiday entertainment and refreshments.
December 16 – Victorian Christmas Cards
Learn about the history of Christmas cards and see samples of Victorian-era cards. Make your own to take home.
The City of San Ramon offers many more performances at the Dougherty Valley Performing Art Station in Windemere. It is another reason that people are migrating to homes in Windemere.
Tree Lighting at Bishop Ranch
The San Ramon Tree Lighting is this Friday, Dec, 1, from 5:30-7:30. The event includes a snow park, ceremonial music, hot chocolate and other fun holiday activities. The highlight, of course, is the lighting of the 70-foot fir tree and a visit from Santa Claus.
